The Motoretta Giro is a unique event organised for classic geared scooters. A regularity trial.
The idea has evolved from an annual ride put on by The Brisbane Lambretta club that has run for the last few years, where they did a lap around Mt Coot-tha before their first monthly meeting of the year.
We have opened it up to any classic scooter to compete in this timed road event.
The idea is to do 4 laps of  a set course, and get the most consistent lap times. The rider with the closest times is the winner.

The National Event is coordinated by the Lambretta Club of Australia and this Victorian event is being organised by members of the Vespa Club of Melbourne and is officially supported by the Club

There'll be riders gathering early in Hurstbridge from 9 AM at the Wild Wombat Cafe  (MAP)  from 9 AM for breakfast and coffee.

There's a ride from East Ivanhoe Village leaving at 8 AM and taking back roads to Eltham and Hurstbridge. All welcome if that suits you. If all this is too early for you then we'll see you at the event at 10 AM.

There's a complimentary lunch provided by the Vespa Club of Melbourne at the end of the event for all participants. So we need a firm commitment that you're attending to cater for that.

Fuel: There isn't fuel in Hurstbridge. Top up at Diamond Creek on your way in the morning.

I'd love to attend but I was taken out at a roundabout a couple of weekends ago...so my scoot is a bit bent and twisted.
