ACCOMMODATION UPDATE - Milk Run Ride

With a fabulous scenic ride coming up it's time to finalise accommodation for the Milk Run Ride. Our overnight stay on Saturday is in Leongatha. There are two options available in town. The Leongatha Motel and McCartin's Hotel.

Ride leaders usually organise accommodation. However this becomes a bit of a juggle when people drop out late or can't decide until the last minute. I'm happy to book accommodation for those who are confirmed attendees.

So far I have reserved 6 rooms at the Leongatha Motel (5662 2375).

Greg and Julie (refurbished Queen) $110

Jo and Noel (refurbished Queen) $110

David and Imam (refurbished Queen) $110

Pam and Noelene (twin share) $105

Belinda and Pete (twin share) $105

Leonie (standard Queen, single occupancy) $100

Betty and Simon (booked direct)

John and Liz (Queen room)

Allan (Queen room, single occupancy)

As of Tuesday 14th, the Leongatha Motel still has the following rooms available:

1 x King

3 x Queen

1 x Bunk room (suitable as a twin share)

Options at McCartin's Hotel (5662 2050) are cheaper especially for singles.

En suite Double Room $69

Single (shared bathroom) $40

Double (shared bathroom) $60

We welcome some local Gippsland club members who will be joining the ride.

This is a great weekend away in the rolling green hills of Gippsland so please join us for a memorable ride - it's not too late for some milky fun.

Hi David, I have decided that it might be best if I skip this weekend as I have had very limited experience with long rides. Would you like me to cancel the accommodation or can u do this. Apologies for the late notice but have been thinking about it over the last few days. Sure it will be a wonderful weekend and can’t wait to see lots of pics.

BREAKFAST - Please note that the Alleycat Cafe opens at 9am so although we will park in Theatre Place, off Maling Road Canterbury, we will find another venue in the area for breakfast and/or coffee. We depart at 9am sharp so please arrive around 8am if you wish to breakfast before we leave. Thank you, David

Hello Milk Run Riders. Just a reminder that our route includes some dirt road links. On day one there is 11kms of dirt-gravel road through the Bunyip Sate Forest and later before lunch another 12kms along the Grand Ridge Road near Fairbank. On day two there is 8kms of dirt road that takes us to a grand view. Because of this and the distance, it is an event more suited for the experienced rider. 27 degrees on Saturday and Sunday. Sunny mornings with a chance of showers at the end of each day. Bring on those green rolling hills of Gippsland, David
