8485192701?profile=originalLet's ride. Let's have some fun on a cool summer day. A short run out of the city through Broady to the historic town of Clarkefield for lunch, via some secret spots so you will see some wonderful things along the way. Lunch is free - on the Club to members to celebrate 2018. So have a light breakfast and join us for something special.

Suitable for all bikes old and new, and Greg might ride for the first time too.

We will get you home by 3.30 PM.

Visit: Historic WOODLANDS homestead. A surreal stop associating a very old homestead with the modernity of the planes landing at the Airport in the distance.

Visit the Emu Creek Bridge - the very one where Johny met his end in the original Mad Max movie.

Visit the historic Clarkefeild hotel - the Club will shout you a lunch there to get the year moving.

Oh.. there is more.

We've done this ride before and it's a goodie. Total 140 kms, back country roads all the way.

Classic Modern Old New Manual Auto - yep it's good for you all.

Meet in the morning at Fletcher Street, on the big Essendon roundabout at JOHNNY PUMP. Departing at 10.00 am.

8485193264?profile=originalSuitable for all types of bikes and rider experience. New members and inexperienced riders - come along, we will look after you.

We'll ride through some beautiful country, stop on the way at the old bridge that featured in the original Mad Max film, and then to the small town of Clarkefield to admire the old Coach & Horses Inn and Cobb and Co stables. We'll have lunch there - perhaps even a sherry.

I'll then take you on my very secret and excellent back roads route to Essendon..

I am with you David, what a shock that was today....another piece of Victoria's history bites the dust..... so sad.... Would love to see the route for the Bridge Man Project....:)

Yes Greg. How heart-breaking. Victoria's history vandals have been at it again. One would think a sign saying "Slow down. Historic single lane timber-plank bridge ahead" would suffice. I had better get out and photograph those that are still left before they all disappear. Who wants to join the "Bridge Man" project?

They vandalised my bridge... bastards! All in the name of progress and that great ‘car’ god.

Thanks for a great ride Greg with a nice long lazy lunch courtesy of the club. Congratulations on getting on a Vespa again after the drama of late last year. Perhaps this “invalid” ride could be an annual event to celebrate recovery.
