Hillbilly Heist

Jan 15, 2017 at 9:30am to 2:30pm – We will start from Warrandyte with a coffee at the Warrandyte Cafe warrandytecafe.com.au  61 Yarra St, Warrandyte. (Next to the Police Station) with a 10:00am Departure.

This is a ride into the Hills to the North of Melbourne. A short ride of 115Kms. Check it out on Plotaroute.com  This Ride is open to all Vespas speeds are moderate to low but the roads are winding.

A spot of Tea at Yarra Glen at the Yarra Glen Cafe & Store. 36 Bell St, Yarra Glen. Fuel in Yarra Glen at the United Service Station after our cuppa where we will regroup.

Then... We're off to see the Strathewen Community Bushfire Memorial at the Peter Avola Memorial Park. See strong new regeneration of the bushland from The Black Saturday bushfires, 7 February 2009. This was Australia's all-time worst bushfire disasters. A time to reflect as we view the majestic memorial in this now beautiful part of Victoria.

Returning Warrandyte to finish off the day with a cold one at the Grand Hotel Warrandyte. grandhotelwarrandyte.com.au

Bring your camera for some photos of scenic views over the rolling hills on Hildebrand Road and our Vespas. Caution: Beware of Hillbilles, the roads are narrow in part, there could be farm or native animals on the roads. DO NOT turn up anyone's driveway!
