Ride Join the Gippsland crew on a ride and overnight stay at Mt. Baw Baw.
Meet up for lunch at the Robin Hood Inn near Drouin at around noon on Saturday and then on to Mt. Baw Baw, with a short sightseeing stop at Toorongo Falls near Nojee. Baw Baw's Bunerong Lodge which has room for 12 has been booked for Saturday night. Once we have checked in, dinner and drinks are available at the Village Restaurant.
On Sunday morning we will ride back down the mountain to Noojee for mid-morning refreshments before parting //mountbawbaw.com.au/bunerong-lodge

Melbourne Riders - Meet at the Britannia Mall, 485 Whitehorse Road, Mitcham at 10:30. Phil Clark will lead the Melbourne group to The Robin Hood Pub via the more relaxed back roads.

FUEL - fuel availability is limited after Neerim Junction. Modern Vespas (with a single rider) will make it up and back down the hill with fuel to spare. 95 Octane fuel is available at Neerim Junction and this will be our fuel stop before riding up to Mt Baw Baw. Classic Vespa riders would need a jerry can just in case!

This ride is suitable for experienced riders only. The roads are winding, narrow and steep at times with frequent 4WD traffic, however the general condition of the road is good. Please take a look at the map before deciding to attend.

Hi James, there seems little point in proceeding given the likely conditions, the weather report for the mountain has deteriorated markedly in the last few days and could well get worse. It would be a nice ride in Spring as ithings warm up. Thanks for all the work you've put in to this.

Shame to postpone but can see your points - will the accomodation be okay with short notice James?

Hi James, only good news from BOM is a low fire danger everything looking crappy particularly a risk of debris on the roads postponement makes sense. Thx again  look forward to next time. Cheers Phil

Hi James. Better to cancel instead of putting pressure on everything. Thanks for all your efforts. Cheers Noelene

    Good call to postpone James.

With the rain this week, there is a risk of gravel washouts , and tree falls.

Happy to reschedule, but myself away until end of May.

PS we're skiers. If the booking becomes problematic
