Western Wanderer

Here's another route we prepped (thanks to Philip and Luke) a few weeks back on a very windy Saturday afternoon.  Still some work to do.

Points of interest include Williamstown and Altona foreshore, Werribee River entrance to PFB (Pt Philip Bay), Werribee Mansion, Werribee market gardens (seems like your in blocks of Mildura), open western plains landscape, industrial west and the expansion of the mega DC's (distribution centres), lots of straightish roads with limited corner marking, suitable for all riders, some smaller fast sections 80kmph, no dirt!, (though I could find some if required), good for PX200, geared and older scoots and the modern ones as well, good comfortable riding.

Could split this into a metro ride Newport to Werribee return, and from Werribee to Brisbane Ranges and Ballan back via Bacchus Marsh which would be a longer 3/4 of a day ride I think.

    Hi Roy

A good days ride that includes all is great.  You just need to allocate a departure time from a venue which for this one could be Port Melbourne Mr Hobsons and then out over the bridge to Williamstown.  With a return point of say the petrol station at Brooklyn where we departed last week for Darren's Westerly ride.  You might have to come up with another name for the ride LOL... and make sure you have petrol and food stops cos some vespa riders get very hungry for some reason... :)

Happy for you to pick a date and put it up.  If the weather turns bad then don't be disheartened choose another date.

Greg and I will help with the promotion of the ride once sorted.
