The Vespa is a very capable little machine. They have travelled all over the world on many grand adventures and have ended up in surprising places. This is a group formed to organise scooter activities for those who like a bit more adventure in their lives. Do you enjoy riding further, like visiting remote hard to get to places, want more days of riding for longer trips, taking the road less travelled, don’t mind pub stays, a bit of dirt road or camping in the bush? Then the Vespa Adventurers Group might be for you. It is open to any kind of Vespa. We expect members to be experienced riders who have ridden in all sorts of conditions. A reliable Vespa is essential and some mechanical knowledge will be beneficial.

Rules so far:

1) Vespa Adventurers may discreetly relieve themselves in the bush. Others in the group will avert their eyes during this process. (David’s rule developed on a ride to McKillop’s Bridge)

2) Vespa Adventurers may retrieve and eat a biscuit that has fallen onto the ground. This is on the proviso that the site of the fallen biscuit is outside the area effected by Rule 1. (Jo and Noel’s rule developed on Pete Zimm’s Dandenong Ranges ride)

A huge thank you to Sally Steve and Nora for inviting us all into their home and putting on a wonderful dinner for us all.  Also to David who thought up this great idea.

To the presenters, thanks for the stories, the laughs and some insight into the true adventures you can have on a vespa.

I'm sorry I didn't have much put together, but here is the video of the BIG cavalcade ride I was talking about last night, 5,000 + vespas departed this lumpy paddock out this little dirt road... Greg and I are in the screen at 0.53mins and Beth and Rolf also come into view at 2.08mins  Kim, Sally and Steve, Rory and Neil were parked at the entrance to the resort and just waited which was probably a better idea...lol... I was supposed to collect the Australian flag but some random Italian pinched it and wouldn't give it back when Beth and Rolf actually tracked him down along the ride... good try guys...:)  Hope you enjoy the video it is very long lol...and hope this has encouraged you to experience at least one of these Vespa World Day events in the future.

    Cheers Julie

New Vespa Adventurer Ride

Fugue for Dirt Roads in B-Flat(tyre) Minor(breakdown) This thrilling 210-km adventure-packed ride is easily doable but is not for the faint hearted. But then we are all Vespa Adventurers aren’t we? There are lots of dirt and gravel roads (about 94-kms), some very steep indeed, but these will get us to some amazing views that will take your breath away. See the photos taken along the route. Our departure point will from our usual meeting place in Eltham, the Zen Den Cafe. Pretty soon we’ll be…

Vespa Adventurers Meet?

Hello everybody Would any Vespa Adventurers be interested is a social catch-up? There is a lot of VA debriefing to do. Ray and Suzette had an adventure in the Victorian Alps, another group of die-hards did a 3-day impromptu ride during Easter based around Castlemaine, Luke, Clinton and a collective of other PX riders took the long way to SA and Kangaroo Island, Julie, Rolf and others went to the Vespa World Days in Hungary and Steve and Sally got lost on logging tracks in the back blocks of…
