For those coming along to escort riders of the Vespa Club of Sydney to Moe on Sunday, there is an option to extend the ride across Monday which will put us in a beautiful part of the world. Our overnight stay will be in Yarram (96kms further on from Moe). Accommodation will be at the Ship Inn Motel. Thanks Julie for organising this.
On Monday morning we will ride along the sublime Tarra Valley Road. The Tarra-Bulga National Park is situated at the eastern end of the Strzelecki Ranges and comprises a cool temperate rain forest - a wonderland of tall mountain ash, ancient myrtle beeches, fern gullies and moss covered tree trunks. Our beautiful route criss-crosses the Tarra River six times as we climb up through the narrow valley onto the mountains above. This primordial valley of fern tree gullies is verdant and cool. In fact in the midst of an Aussie summer in January, Tarra Valley will probably be the coolest, greenest place in Victoria. We might even have time to dabble our toes in the river.
Lunch on Monday will be at Yarragon and if we are running to schedule, we'll include some delightful little roads in the hills above the town.
So, for those who are free to ride on Sunday 21 and Monday 22 January, this will be a memorable ride through beautiful country. Please indicate your attendance in this event on this page.

So David I have taken the liberty of booking 5 Queen rooms $99 and 3 Twin rooms $104 or $80 if only 1 person at the Sheep In Motel...with the amazing mural wall.... http://www.shipinnmotel.com.au/ It is 1.4kms out of town but who could resist this...?? Great photo opportunity, continental breakfast included in the price also we have the option of chilling in the function room if we choose to.
